party-posterTattoo Rock Parlour to Host a Benefit Concert and Photo Exhibit in Memory of Dylan Ellis & Oliver Martin

On Sunday November 30th, D.O. IT! will host "L.O.V.E. LOCK DOWN!" a benefit concert and photography exhibit at Tattoo Rock Parlour (567 Queen St. W.) in Toronto. This event is in memory of Dylan Ellis, 25 and Oliver Martin, 25 who were tragically lost to gun violence in June of 2008. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at the door. Doors open at 9pm and the event will go until 2am.

The benefit will honour the lives of both Dylan & Oliver, their artistry and the fight against violence. D.O. IT! is a project inspired by the tragic loss of these young men. With a goal of raising awareness and generating funds for Leave Out Violence (LOVE) - a youth violence prevention organization, D.O. It! aims to inspire through music, combat hate and promote PEACE. L.O.V.E. LOCK DOWN will be the premiere event hosted by "D.O. IT!", with many more to follow. The evening will revolve around music, friends, life and LOVE.

100% of the event proceeds will be donated to LOVE to help reduce youth violence in Toronto. The main level of Tattoo Rock Parlour will feature live performances by Blues in D - Ben Mcphee and Cody Ellis (the late Dylan Ellis was a former band mate). The lower level cocktail lounge will offer patrons an opportunity to learn more about LOVE, with a photography exhibit featuring the work of Dylan Ellis and LOVE youth. Authentic T-shirts from the well anticipated 2point0 magazine will be available for purchase.

About Leave Out Violence (LOVE)

LOVE is a leading Canadian not-for-profit youth violence prevention organization. Through educational programs LOVE helps youth who have lived with violence break the cycle in their lives, and then become community leaders of violence prevention. LOVE gives youth a sense of purpose and a voice empowering them to take a stand against the violence in their lives and their communities.

LOVE was created in Montreal in 1993 by Mrs. Twinkle Rudberg after her husband was murdered by a 14 year old boy. The inspiration for LOVE was Mrs. Rudberg's powerful realization that the youth who killed her husband was, himself, a victim of violence. Her vision was to empower youth who understood violence and enable them to stand at the forefront of the movement against violence. Since LOVE began, these youth have reached hundreds of thousands of children, other youth and adults reducing violence in schools communities and homes.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
